Devon, UK-based Millbrook Dairy Company has launched a new subsidiary company as part of its expansion plans.

Based in Limburg in the Netherlands, Millbrook Dairy Europe BV will allow the business to expand its cheese and butter products into new territories across Europe.

Heading Millbrook Dairy Europe BV is Rik Hanssen, who has been appointed managing director. Formerly with Numidia BV, Hanssen, who will be based in the Netherlands, will be engaging with the industry, responding to customers, and promoting Millbrook Dairy’s portfolio of brands.

“As the managing director of our first subsidiary I feel privileged with the trust invested in me and am very much looking forward to forging new relationships, seeking new opportunities and growing the Millbrook Dairy business further,” Hanssen said.

Millbrook Dairy, which was founded in 2019, supplies British and Irish cheese and butter to growing UK markets as well as an international customer base in the US, China, Canada and South America and a European customer and supply base including the Netherlands.

Kevin Beer, co-founder of Millbrook Dairy Company, said, “We are delighted that Rik has joined us for the next stage of our exciting journey.  Our markets are continually growing across Europe, and this is natural progression for our business as we continue to see demand for dairy products increase.

“We are looking forward to the success that Rik will bring the business in the Netherlands and across Europe.”
