From Unilever ice cream to oatmilk creamers: What’s hitting the shelves?

We round-up the latest NPD launches in dairy and alt dairy . . .

What are some of the new product releases to emerge in January 2025? We look at several notable releases now available across US grocery stores.

Häagen-Dazs’ new cones

Häagen-Dazs launched a new range of ice cream cones and two new ice cream bars ahead of the 2025 Superbowl.

Debuting just in time for the Big Game, Belgian Waffle Cones is available in four flavors:

  • Toasted Almond Fudge, Vanilla Salted Caramel, Summer Berry, and Triple Chocolate Fudge.

The two new ice cream bars meanwhile are Salted Caramel Macadamia and New York Strawberry Cheesecake.

The new ice cream bars are available in three-count packages while the cones are sold in four-count packs; retailing for $6.49 and $7.99, respectively.

Dairy Farmers of America’s Disney tie-up

In collaboration with Disney, Dairy Famers of America (DFA) brand TruMoo launched a flavored fresh milk product for children.

The limited-edition Disney Moana Strawberry Banana Lowfat Milk contains 150 calories, 2.5g of total fat, and 11g added sugars per 8oz serving.

It is available from major retailers and across most major markets in the US.

Unilever bolsters ice cream portfolio

Despite being in the process of spinning out its ice cream division, Unilever has launched a swathe of new ice creams across brands including Magnum, Breyers, and Popsicle.

New for Breyers is the the S’mores Campfire Collection, comprising tubs, pints, bars and ice cream sandwiches, the flavor combines toasted marshmallow and graham cracker along with a layer of Hershey’s chocolate.

Also arriving in 2025 will be a non-dairy chocolate ice cream made with oatmilk; two low-calorie bars under the Carb Smart range; and, through a collaboration with Good Humor, a Strawberry Shortcake tub comprising vanilla ice cream, strawberry swirls and cake crumbles.

Popsicle’s line-up now includes superhero-inspired bars and ice pops such as the Buzz Lightyear Rocket Pop; while Magnum’s new Chocolate Ice Cream Bar now contains 39% cacao solids.

Also launching are Talenti Gelato Layers’ range of deconstructed desserts in glass jars in flavors such as Chocolate Chip Cookie Batter, Italian Tiramisu, and Snickerdoodle Cookie.

Dean’s Dip’s Mexican-inspired additions

The dairy dip brand is bringing in five new flavors; including two new SKUs in Creamy Dill and Jalapeño Popper and new Cantina Dairy Dip sub-range comprising Mexican Street Corn Dip, Fiesta Taco Dip and Guacamole Flavored Dip.

The Cantina Dairy Dips are available in 12oz tubs while the Creamy Dill and Jalapeno Popper is available in 16 oz. tubs.

All five retail at $3.49 and are available at major grocers nationwide.

Organic Valley’s new oat creamers

Organic dairy co-op Organic Valley has introduced oat-based creamers to its range of dairy creamers. This comprises four flavors – vanilla, caramel, oatmeal cookie and cinnamon spice – all made from oats sourced directly from the co-op’s organic farms.

Organic Valley Oat Creamers are available as 32-ounce cartons in grocery stores nationwide.
