Innovation is truly brewing this fall in the dairy aisle. From flavor innovation in cheese and butter to new convenience formats and a renewed enthusiasm for nostalgia and heritage dairy, here’s what stood out to us from the product releases announced this week . . .
All Things Butter’s Truffle Butter

Tapping into the growing interest in truffle-flavoured products, British butter brand All Things Butter has introduced a new Truffle Butter.
Made with 100% British cream and developed in Somerset, South West England, the butter blends earthy truffle with lemon juice and black pepper for a rich, savoury flavour, says the company.
Available now at Booths and coming soon to Ocado, the product is designed for cooking, sauces, and finishing dishes. It joins a range that includes sweet and savoury options, all focused on chef-crafted flavour and minimal processing.
The Crafty Herd ‘shakes up’ the flavored cheese aisle

The Ilchester Cheese Co. is launching The Crafty Herd, a brand aimed at shaking up the flavoured cheese aisle with playful, flavour-packed creations, says the company.
Designed to inspire kitchen creativity, the brand debuts in the UK this festive season with The Crafty Herd Advent Calendar, featuring 13 unique flavour pairings such as Wensleydale Toffee, Maple & Caramel Biscuit, Chocolate & Orange, Sriracha & Honey, and Apple, Sage & Onion. Unlike traditional calendars, it includes a surprise gift on day 25 and is cleverly designed to split in half for fridge space efficiency, says the company.
Priced at £15, it will be available nationwide at Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, and Ocado.
Protein Pints’ twist on classic favorites

US high-protein ice cream brand Protein Pints unveiled two new flavors that put a modern, protein-first twist on classic favorites: Cookies & Cream and Coffee.
Cookies & Cream combines crunchy chocolate shortbread cookie crumbles with a creamy, protein-rich base featuring fresh cream and subtle hints of vanilla and cocoa; while Coffee is crafted with medium-roast Colombian beans for nutty, roasty notes balanced by a silky, high-protein base.
With 30 grams of protein per pint and 85% less sugar than traditional ice cream, Protein Pints is made with natural ingredients and no artificial sweeteners. Each pint also packs just 120 to 160 calories per serving.
Tom Parker’s cream top milk

The UK’s Tom Parker Creamery is launching Unhomogenised Whole Milk, a minimally processed, free-range milk sourced within 90 miles of its Somerset creamery in South West England. A nostalgic nod to traditional milk, it retains its natural cream plug, which varies seasonally.
The new product is a response to growing demand for less processed, more natural products and is packaged in a 750ml recyclable glass bottle.
It will be available on Ocado from mid-September at £2.15.
Hiland Dairy’s nostalgic favorite

Hiland Dairy is celebrating fall flavors and Missouri heritage with the launch of its newest limited-edition ice cream: Ozark Harvest Crunch.
Available in stores beginning October 1, this flavor blends Hiland’s vanilla ice cream with caramel swirls and candied Hammons Black Walnuts, offering a sweet and crunchy side of a nostalgic classic, says the company.
Ozark Harvest Crunch will be available for a limited time at grocery stores across Hiland’s markets beginning October 1.
Cathedral City’s new formats

In the UK, Cathedral City is expanding its value-led range to support budget-conscious shoppers. New additions include larger pack formats of Minis (12 x 20g), Slices (250g), and Grated Cheddar (320g and 1kg), now available across major retailers including Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, and Ocado.
The brand is responding to consumer demand for better value and convenient formats for both snacking and everyday meals as shoppers continue to seek high-protein, minimally processed options that represent value for money.
Kallo launches alt dairy milks

Known for cooking stocks, rice cakes, gravies, and breakfast cereals, natural brand Kallo has debuted in the dairy alternative drinks sector with the UK launch of two organic oat milk products: Gluten-Free Oat Milk and Oat and Protein Milk.
Both products are unsweetened and free from preservatives, flavourings, and colourings, and also have no added sugar.
Kallo’s owner Ecotone says the new alt milks provide 25g of protein per liter and cater to consumers seeking functional, dairy-free options without artificial fortification.
