Tesco rolls-out cream packaging redesign to stress tradition


Tesco has redesigned its private label brand of fresh cream - covering over 30 SKUs - to create a new quality seal that echo the design of old-fashioned dairy cream containers.

London-based branding consultancy R-Design used a bold typography to highlight the cream type, and strong color-coding of the seal that follows the 'category language' supports this.

The retail giant's redesign (pictured) has also been rolled-out across brand extensions such as soured cream and crème fraiche in a bid to achieve a consistent look across the line, with a strong shelf presence aimed at increasing the consumer appeal.
