As part of the theme, ‘Future Ready’, at Dubai World Trade Centre (November 7-9) the company highlighted what the technology can do, from quality management to transferring data to the internet, process control and food traceability.
Increase in digitalization
Anders Andren, product manager, plant integration and automation, Tetra Pak, told this website PlantMaster is an automation and information service designed for food production with a combination of processing and packaging capabilities.
“We are seeing an increase in digitalization throughout the whole factory process with the production systems and suppliers. With the PlantMaster, we can integrate everything into one system,” he said.
Newly developed MES suite
“This allows us to meet customer demands for taking total control of their operations and minimizing wastages and securing performance levels. On top of that we’ve added a newly developed MES suite platform.
“We can turn data from the factory into information for our customers to manage their operations such as batch and recipe based indicators, cloud based technology and data delivered direct to plant managers’ mobile phones to address any problems that might occur.”
On the exhibition stand at Gulfood, Tetra Pak demonstrated its products and technology under the headings of ‘ideas of tomorrow’ and a ‘future filled with opportunities and potential growth’.
It also had a Food Island focusing on five food categories: Tomato, cheese, soups, yogurt and coconut water.
