Sensient Flavors hopes customers will melt at new seasonal ice cream concepts
Sensient Flavors has launched new ice cream concepts that allow manufacturers to offer products that fit with seasonal consumer preferences, using fruit preparations with a 'fresh and healthy' appeal and added cookie, meringue and coffee bits.

"The range combines classic and innovative flavours -- for example, vanilla ice with fruit preparations including hints of herbs and spices that provide a subtle savoury note. With this innovative mix, the company intends to target not only the traditional but also the adventurous consumer," Sensient said.

Depending on product concept, fruit preparations could be used as ripples, top, intermediate or bottom layers, the company said, with the product viscosity adapted to suit each order. Products contained only natural flavourings, and fruit content ranged from 30-60%, Sensient said, adding that they also suited dairy applications other than ice cream.
