Glanbia managing director announces plans to resign in 2013

Glanbia managing director, John Moloney, has informed the company that he will retire from his role and from the board by the end of the year.

Moloney had been due to retire in 2014, but decided it was “the right time”​ to pass on leadership. Siobhan Talbot, the group’s current finance director, has been appointed to succeed Moloney.

“I feel that after two years at the helm and over 25 years with the Group it is the right time for all concerned to pass the leadership of Glanbia to someone new,”​ said Moloney.

“I am very proud of what has been achieved by the Group and will leave secure in the knowledge that we are in a stronger position than ever to capitalise on the competitive advantages we have today in high growth markets,”​ he added.
