More than 160 jobs are at risk as Arla Foods UK plans a reorganization of its cheese business and warehouse network, with another 195 people affected in support functions, primarily at the cooperative’s Aarhus, Denmark headquarters.

Skærbæk, Denmark, dairy farmer Jan Toft Nørgaard will be the new chair of Arla Foods' board of directors from July 2.

Arla Foods appoints new chairman

The Arla Foods amba board of directors has appointed Jan Toft Nørgaard from Skærbæk, Denmark, to succeed Åke Hantoft as chairman of Arla Foods amba, when Hantoft steps down on July 2 after seven years in the role.

Arla will begin selling its branded dairy products in Ghana next month after launching a subsidiary in the West African country.
