Yoplait Greek “full-calorie traditional” Greek yogurt labels itself “blended”, as fruit is mixed into the yogurt, instead of at the bottom of the pot.
For its launch, Yoplait switched from its usual agency, Saatchi & Saatchi, to Olson, which is expected to run a TV campaign for the product. The item will be available in the US in August. Flavors are blueberry, coconut, pineapple, strawberry, raspberry, tangerine and vanilla.
A General Mills spokeswoman said that the yogurt was an entirely new formula with original packaging and message, rather than previous Greek yogurt launches which were "more about improving or enhancing the existing product."
