InSight CM - Agriculture now includes support for detailed attributes such as expiration dates and quality types, which are critical to dairy companies.
The company says that it will allow dairy companies to maximize profitability by accurately selecting the necessary input stock to deliver the correct blend of resultant product at the specified quality.
"Our InSight CM - Agriculture solution is recognized as the strongest on the market today," said Shobhit Mathur, VP product management at Eka.
"Three out of the top four global agriculture companies use our trading, risk, and supply chain software. In addition, we continue to develop solutions that serve the needs of the agriculture, manufacturing, energy, and metals industries instead of providing a generic platform."
Software used across sectors
InSight CM - Agriculture captures, analyzes and manages physical trading, procurement, logistics, bulk handling, processing, enterprise risk, and compliance across all agri-commodities. The fully integrated, end-to-end platform provides straight-through processing of commodities for the front, middle, and back office.
The software is suitable for a range of agri-commodities including dairy, grains, oilseeds, livestock, feed ingredients, biofuels, and fertilizers.
Eka noted that compared to other commodities, dairy products have a much shorter shelf life as well as quality attributes. The company noted that, for example, to effectively manage the supply chain of cheese, expiration dates must be tracked in addition to temperature specifying whether the cheese is chilled or frozen. With butter, flavor attributes such as sweet and sour must be tracked.
Eka said that InSight CM - Agriculture enables dairy companies to maximize profitability with the ability to optimize the blending of raw material to meet required quality specifications to fulfil sales contracts.
Eka is a team of 315 staff with offices in the Americas, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
