Unica Global develops and sells infant nutrition under the Jovie brand. The Anders Invest Food & Agri fund was established at the beginning of 2021 and this is the fund's second investment.

Anders Invest bought equity in the company through a share issue, and is now a minority shareholder. Unica Global is in a scale-up phase and will utilize the investment to finance growth in China, Europe and the Middle East.

Founded in 2017, Unica Global is a company focusing on specialty and premium infant nutrition based on alternative protein sources, such as organic goat milk. Product development, brand and marketing strategy, finance and logistics are organized from the Netherlands.

The range consists of organic infant formula, children’s milk and products for pregnant and lactating women, all based on organic goat's milk.

Jovie is currently available in China and the Middle East. It will be launched in the EU shortly. Sales take place through subsidiaries and exclusive distributors. These are responsible for local sales and marketing. The participation of Anders Invest gives Unica Global the opportunity to further expand its market position in existing and new markets, as well as to launch new products.

Unica Global products focus on the rapidly growing niche of healthy alternatives within this market. Within this, the company focuses on selected, strategic markets. The segment of goat-milk-based infant nutrition is growing by more than 8% annually.

Unica Global is led by Ben Busser, who will remain with the company as shareholder and CEO and looks forward to growing the company together with Anders Invest.

The Anders Invest Food & Agrifonds was established in early 2021 and invests in companies that contribute to the transition to fair, healthy and sustainably produced food for humans and animals, in conjunction with sustainable improvement of yields in the food chains. Unica Global said its products are intended to contribute to healthier child nutrition and a more sustainable society.
