Consumers are looking for different products and experiences tailored to their needs, and want to be emotionally engaged by brands.
“Brands should pay attention to details and create memorable experiences [with packaging],” say analysts. “Humour is used as a great tool to catch people’s attention. There are playful approaches to everyday products like hidden messages, mixing illustrations with photography and choices of unexpected materials.
“Some brands create extremely clean and white simplistic designs, others very bold and unique patterns or typography.”
