Sustainable luxury bottled water
Europe’s ‘first’ sustainable luxury bottled water brand has landed in Europe, made with 100% recycled plastic (rPET) bottles.
NEUE Water claims to be ‘championing the movement to a more circular economy’. Although rPET has been available for more than a decade, not ‘a single’ major premium drinks brand uses it across their global production – despite its environmental credentials.
100% rPET produces to 10 times fewer carbon emissions than aluminium cans and up to 20 times fewer than glass bottles – thanks to the need for no raw materials. In addition, NEUE has made its bottles ‘sturdier’ so that they can be refilled before recycling them.
“I hope NEUE water can help replace plastic pollution by offering a more sustainable, but stylish choice that fits conveniently in a jean back pocket or handbag,” said Michael Lowers, founder of NEUE Water.
