US supplier of applied protein sciences Proliant and Trega Foods, a
manufacturer of cheese and dairy-based ingredients, have announced
a joint venture for the production and marketing of whey protein
isolates.
Recent research reveals that foods rich in high quality proteins,
which particularly includes dairy products, may help as a means of
controlling weight gain in obese people.
New Zealand firm A2 has said it has evidence of a possible link
between heart disease and the milk protein A1. Leading dairy
company Fonterra has however disputed the findings and claims there
is a need for further research.
Probiotics or 'friendly' bacteria given to babies during weaning
may help alleviate the symptoms of eczema, according to research
published in the British journal Gut.

and combat insomnia is said to work better than traditional
