Sealed Air’s 2011 acquisition of cleaning, sanitation and hygiene solutions provider Diversey has birthed a unique concept in the dairy industry – hygiene solutions from ‘farm to fork’.

In October last year, Sealed Air completed the $4.3bn acquisition of Diversey – cementing its position as a world leader in hygiene applications for food and beverage processing plants.

Kim Yeomans, a dairy sector specialist at Diversey told DairyReporter.com that the takeover has furthered the firm's dairy industry offering – providing a one stop hygiene solutions shop.

“Sealed Air’s main business, as far as dairy is considered is in the provision of packaging for finished products,” said Yeomans.

“In a sense we say Diversey takes care of the products and the hygiene of the process to the point of packaging and the of course you have a synergy whereby Sealed Air take over and protect the product thereafter.”

“It’s an exciting time to be in the industry,” he added.
