Dutch dairy cooperative FrieslandCampina says that its research has revealed ways to raise efficiency and reduce costs at its production locations in Lochem and Veghel.

The measures will result in the loss of about 40 permanent jobs, while the number of temporary workers and people with employment contracts for a definite time will be structurally lowered by about 48 full-time employees.

In addition, it says that some tasks and responsibilities of employees may change.

According to the cooperative, savings will be achieved in the next three years.

The major part of the savings, according to FrieslandCampina, will be achieved by making better use of the capacity of the production lines and by reducing the use of material and energy.
