Plastic in ground beef
US: JBS USA is recalling almost 35,500 pounds of raw ground beef that may be contaminated with hard plastic.
Raw ground beef items [see list here] were produced on 22 March and shipped to distribution centers in Virginia and Indiana for further distribution to retail.
The problem was discovered after the firm received a complaint from a consumer who found blue, hard plastic pieces in one of the products. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.
