Multi-country recall of cheese due to E. coli
Spain: La Agencia Española de Consumo, Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutrición (AECOSAN) is one of a number of agencies that has warned about certain contaminated Reblochon cheese made in France.
Reblochon with mark FR 74.096.050 CE was distributed to more than 20 countries.
Seven cases of E. coli O26 in France have been linked to the cheese made from raw milk. No cases have been reported in Spain.
Lots of Queso Reblochon 450g made by Fromageries Chabert that start with 8CR distributed from 21.1.18 until 14.5.18 are involved. Carrefour group recalled Reblochon formato 450g brand Reflets De France as it is made by the same manufacturer.
Andorra, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Luxembourg, Mali, Mauritius, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Seychelles, Spain, Switzerland, UK and the US are other countries impacted, according to RASFF.
